Elsevier Clinical Monograph API Partnership
Collaborated with Elsevier, one of the world's largest academic and clinical data publishers, marking Tata 1mg's first clinical content licensing deal.
The engagement involved delivering 1,500 structured drug monographs via an API integration, with content spanning 15+ clinical attributes per drug.
Built the CMS and API infrastructure later leveraged and reused for the Google Health partnership, proving modular platform design.

The Challenge
- No existing CMS or API infrastructure for external clinical content delivery required scoping and delivery of a new backend layer in parallel with content production.
- Content had to meet Elsevier's specific structural and attribute-level specifications across 15+ fields per drug.
- Phase-wise delivery across 9 months demanded a robust tracking and dashboarding system.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance and clinical accuracy for all 1,500 monographs under tight SLA commitments.
The Approach & Solution
- Defined the backend schema and delivery architecture for clinical monograph data.
- Built a multi-dimensional tracking dashboard covering writer output, review status, copy editing completion, and backend update status.
- Established phase-wise milestones and content SOPs to ensure consistent quality across a large distributed team.
- Coordinated identification and remediation of 11+ drugs flagged for omission due to ban status.
